White Wine

From humble beginnings in rum shops and bars, to global stage shows, White Wine has started from the bottom, and is prepped to do it again. A soca singer/songwriter, producer and arranger from Toronto, Canada, Greg “White Wine” Smith had a long journey into the soca arena. Introduced to the culture in 2005 he immediately fell in love. Moving from a successful career in Hip Hop his passion was drawn towards soca due to the positivity, fun, excitement and revellery it entails.

Establishing himself as a singer/songwriter foremost, he has performed on big and small stages across Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada, Toronto, New York, Washington DC, Miami, and more. He’s a carnival seeker that aims to touch all roads as the first artist signed to Roadway Records.

Wine’s style of music is constantly evolving, bringing a blend of many perspectives and influences into a well cultured sound. With a passion for re-invention and a need to grow, White Wine continues to adapt, learn, and consume with fervor a culture that has welcomed him with open arms. He has had the opportunity to work with several artists in the industry including: Problem Child, Allison Hinds, Fadda Fox, Mr. Killa, Lavaman, Berbice, Brotha B, Luni Sparks & Electrify, Scrappy and more.

Coming from “foreign” it wasn’t long until people realized that he was able to dance, move and keep time with the rest of the community. Being coined ‘White Wine’ by Toronto’s most popular DJ, Dr. Jay de Soca Prince, he has forever been stamped as Canada’s “White Wine”.
